Frank W. Heckler, president, founded CSI with other individuals in 1985. He and his son David acquired 100% of the stock three years later. Their mission was to grow the company based on outstanding service and technical expertise to the HVAC industry. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Frank is well positioned to keep CSI on the leading edge of HVAC technology. “Being knowledgeable about the industry, learning what’s happening in other countries and watching the evolution of the market closely will enable us to remain leaders,” he remarks. “We’re participating in ongoing change and we have to be the best we can be. We have to have the right team and be organized and structured to be on the cusp.” Frank takes a deep personal interest in the history of Western Pennsylvania and collects books about the area.
